摘要：In this talk, I will introduce the construction of Floyd boundary for any finitely generated group. The main goal is to give an overview of results in geometric group theory centered around the topological, metric and measure structures of Floyd boundary.

简介:杨文元，北京大学副教授，国家级青年人才。2011年在法国里尔科学技术大学数学系获得博士学位，2011年至2013年曾在法国南巴黎大学数学系做博士后研究，2014年初入职北京大学国际数学中心。主要研究领域为几何群论和低维拓扑，研究结果发表于Invent. Math.等杂志上。
