On stacked central configurations

 :This is a joint work with Xiang Yu. Given an n-body central configuration, we find that there are exactly five ways to extend it to a non-collinear (n + 1)-body central configuration by adding one mass. It is necessary that the n-body central configuration must lie on a common circle or sphere. For the sufficient conditions, we find it crucial to measure the radius of the circle, sphere and one value determined by the total mass and the multiplier of the n-body central configuration. We also obtain a general result on the geometric property of the co-circular n-body central configurations, with which, we could classify all the extensions from four bodies to five.  We then give complete answers to the questions raised by Hampton.

 

报告人简介:祝书强,中国科学技术大学数学科学学院特任副研究员。2010年毕业于四川大学数学学院, 2017年毕业于维多利亚大学,获博士学位。主要从事哈密尔顿动力系统,弯曲空间的N体问题的研究,主要研究文章发表在《Journal of Nonlinear Science》,《Journal of Mathematical Physics》,《Proceeding  of American Mathematical Society》, 《Journal of Dynamical System and Differential Equations》, 《Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems》上。
